Icelandic Rock Band Kaleo, Famous for their Way Down We Go, is in Istanbul for the First Time as a World Tour!
Icelandic rock band KALEO, which has a considerable fan base in our country since the release of their first album A/B, which broke sales records in 2016 and broke new ground in the music world, announced their first Istanbul concert.
The group, named after KALEO, which means ‘sound’ in Hawaiian, will take the stage at KüçükÇiftlik Park on July 3, 2022 with the corporate sponsorship of EPIFONI and ‘Join & Blend’. Before KALEO, an Icelandic singer-songwriter, Júníus Meyvant, will warm the atmosphere with Adamlar and Al’York, one of the most popular bands of recent times in our country.
KALEO, whose soloist is the charismatic JJ Julius, who draws attention with his unique strong vocal, will be in our country for the first time as part of their latest album Surface Sounds’ 2022 world tour ‘Fight or Flight Tour’.
From London to Moscow, which reached over 1 billion streams globally in a short time with the shine of songs such as Grammy-nominated ‘No Good’, ”All the Pretty Girls’ Grey’s Anatomy, ‘Way Down We Go’ used in dozens of popular TV series such as Riverdale. Having sold out concerts, KALEO proved to be a worldwide phenomenon.
Known for their exciting live performances and music decorated with classic rock and blues rock inspirations, KALEO has performed at major festivals such as Coachella, Lollapalooza and Bonnaroo, and was specially selected as the opening act of the Rolling Stones stadium concerts.
KALEO’s second album – Surface Sounds – was released on April 23, 2021. The addition of Istanbul to the world tour of the album, which has already become hits with “I Want More” and “Break My Baby”, created great excitement.
